HOUSING SERVICES

Hello to Home

Hello to Home

We meet community members wherever they are in their housing journey, working alongside them to set and achieve their goals. We provide support to help them stabilize during crises and take steps toward long-term stability. Our programs work together seamlessly—beginning with a simple "Hello" on the street from our Community Mediators and continuing with housing and public benefits navigation support from our housing navigation team.

Public Benefits Navigation Support

Public Benefits Navigation Support

Obtaining essential documents, e.g. ID, birth certificate, social security card.

Enrolling in Medi-Cal and selecting a health plan and primary care provider.

Applying for benefits and services, e.g. GA, CalFresh, SSI/SSDI, etc.

Providing housing systems navigation and support, e.g. coordinated entry, application assistance, limited financial assistance, move-in, tenancy sustainability.

Preparing for job readiness, e.g. application and resume assistance, connecting to employment and job development opportunities.

Oak Street Community Cabin has closed permanently

Oak Street Community Cabin has closed permanently

It is with deep regret that we announce the permanent closure of Oak Street Community Cabins, effective December 31, 2024. At the start of 2024, we were informed by CalTrans, the owners of the land on which OCC is located, that the property would be reclaimed as part of their efforts to improve traffic infrastructure in the area. Unfortunately, no opportunities for relocation, establishing a new site, or transferring operations to an alternative location were made available.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us and our community over the past five years. Together, we made a lasting impact and changed countless lives. The many successes we achieved will continue to serve as a testament to the spirit and strength of our community.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.
